I do have a piece of old instrument from my dad to start with.

Hi! I know a violin teacher who is very good. Both my daughter and I take violin lessons with him. His website is www.marctairraz.ch. He speaks english and even set up a beginning orchestra for adults.
I have taken lessons before and I think he is the best teacher I have had.
