These french are some philosophers hum?
By the way, today is the 14th of July, Bastille Day, the equivalent of hte 4th of July for americans.
If you want to celebrate this very french holiday cross the border.
Fireworks, street parties, free open air concerts and lots of stall seeling food and champagne.

For a moment there I thought I was going crazy, today is the 14 Juillet and there are celebrations in France here is the proof.

- 14h00-19h00 : château gonflable, halle couverte de l'Esplanade du Lac
- 17h00-19h00 : animations pour les enfants, halle couverte de l'Esplanade du Lac (maquillage, sculpture sur ballons, tatouage paillettes, tours de calèche, boissons et gourmandises...)
- 20h00 : distribution des flambeaux et lampions sur la place de l'Office de Tourisme. La retraite aux flambeaux partira à 20h30 accompagnée par Sambaloelek et 3 échassiers qui jongleront avec le feu.
- 22h45 : feu d'artifice tiré du lac et bal populaire sous la halle de l'Esplanade du Lac.
Restauration et boissons sur les stands des associations divonnaises !

Frankly Kaki, who cares if in Thonon the 14 Juilet was the 13 Juillet?
Today is a brand new day...seize it girl!!
Geneva is surrounded by french towns. Some of which are in a different departments ( Divonne is in Ain, and not Haute Savoie like Anemasse).
Have a quiet night in watching telly in Thonon while on this side of the lake we enjoy our 14 Juillet!
