I am always looking for new talents, new voices.


Here is my songs for the week

Nelson Motta is a brilliant brazilian journalist who has been playing an important role on the brazilian music scenery since the times of military dictatorship. he is one of my musical gurus and imho has an amazing talent for picking gems.


this is his website where you can check his latest picks, podcast, newspaper articles and more -- although mostly focused on brazilian music, there are also suggestions of international artists, quite eclectic and always fun:

Same happens to me quite a few times. recently i could find following based on radio and i am sure u will like them too -

when love takes over - Kelly Rowland.


 


Generally when that happens, what i do is, try to listen to the lyrics closely, (which is tougher of course if u r listening to some radio over speakers) and then simply give that text to google for searching added with a word 'lyrics'. 


it works most of the times.

This is a track from an old Soviet movie - "Gypsies camp goes to the sky" 1976, by Emil Lotianu (Moldavia) The film was based on the beautiful story of Maxim Gorky (Peshkov) -"Makar Chudra" Music was composed by Eugene Doga - absolutely fabulous  Moldovan Soviet composer.


Here is another his masterpiece.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see your post. This is a track from an old Soviet movie - "Gypsies camp goes to the sky" 1976, by Emil Lotianu (Moldavia) The film was based on the beautiful story of Maxim Gorky (Peshkov) -"Makar Chudra" Music was composed by Eugene Doga - absolutely fabulous  Moldovan Soviet composer.

Here is another his masterpiece.

Waltz from the movie "My tender Beast" (1979) by Emil Lotianu (based on A.Chekhov's novel -  Drama on the Hunt")
