I recently joined glocals by the recommendation of a networking colleague and have been pleasantly surprised!
I am a recruiter for an international firm in New York and we have openings in our Geneva office for Customer Service Specialists. I am here to network with people to fill these positions and to learn about why Geneva is a place to visit; I'm hoping to vacation to Europe within the year and am trying to develop an itinerary.

Welcome to glocals! I think it's the first time a NY head-hunter joined the community, from NY, to fill GVA positions...:)
If / when you make it to GVA, we'll be happy to show you around. And then you'll also be able to use glocals for its main purpose: to organise and join various activities.
So tell us about those open jobs in Geneva: are they low-work high-pay? :)

Hi Carey,
If you are planning to visit Europe, and are building an itinerary, Aletsch Glacier is a must visit, it is a UNESCO world heritage site and definitely worth a dekko.
I am also new to Geneva, just reached here in May, 2010, but have traveled a bit... I am currently employed with SAP Labs India as Principal Consultant - Prouct Management and am looking for job opportunities in Geneva as my husband is based here.
Please let me know if I could mail you my CV. I'd be happy to meet you in person when you are here, and show you around the place :)

The job position sounds interesting, any chance you are recruiting for offices other than Geneva ? If there are positions in Zurich or Basel direction would be very interested to discuss further with you.....
Regarding places to visit it really makes a difference what time of year you intend to come....... snow makes some places more attractive to visit and others less so.....
