Graphic design in Lausanne

Hellow!

I just arrived to St-Livres not far from Lausanne. For 6 months I'm staying with a family and take care of the kids so I could in the meantime get to know Lausanne and the region a bit. My plan is to search a internship as a graphic designer or something that involves design. I've just finished my master degree in graphic design so Lausanne seems a perfect place to make some new connections.

With my Diana F+ by hand I'm looking forward to get to know new great places and do activities that involves everything that has a little culture in it.

I like it already now! So if anyway has the same interests or just wanna make some fun at Swiss I'm here :)

By the way, I come from Belgium!

Welcome!

Maybe is worth giving a look to the university of art and design, maybe you can find somethign there: ecal

There is also the museum of design near the cathedral (mudac), from next week they'll have an exposition about playmobil, that should be interesting to see :)

If you learn about something else please share, is always interesting!

About the internship cannot help you much, but hope you find something

Btw, I forgot that next week is the Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival with many movies and concerts: LUFF

If I get rid of my stupid flu I'll try to go for a few of the movies :)

Movies will be mainly in French though, I presume? I love a good film-festival, but my french isn't quite up to the task, I fear..

Today I saw an exhibition called "Portraits de familles" in Morges if you like illustrations it's pretty nice c'est à musée alexis forel morges.

Ha! Why not? Been a few weeks since I've had a chance to visit a museum. Besides, graphic art doesn't require a great deal of text, most of the time. Should be able to appreciate it even if my grasp of the French language doesn't go far beyond 'bonjour', 'pardon' and 'merci' :)

Mmm, I cannot seem to find it now, but at least some of the movies are supposed to be in original version + subtitles...
