I am currently apartment hunting (from the US!) for a short-term place to stay while I am there. If anyone has any leads or advice on places to look, please contact me!! I could really use the help.

Well, glocals is a really good place to start!
Post something in the classifieds saying "I'm looking to rent a room during February" and see what responses you get. Also, look at what people are offering in the classifieds. Just one thing: don't let yourself be scammed. Sadly, it does happen from time to time.
You can also look on worldradio.ch, englishforum.ch, and plenty of other sites. Also, read the "Million Dollar Question" thread in the forums. Similar question, with some good answers.
You've been a member of glocals since April? That's curious.... you've been planning this for a while, eh? ;)
Good luck with your search. Most people say that it's pretty stressful to search/find/lock up lodging, so try to stay chill about it. Have faith.
And when you get here, be sure to sign up for copious glocals activities. You'll meet lots of great people that way.
Oh....what part of the States are you from? And will you arrive before/after the Superbowl?
