Job opportunity at the WTO andqor in the legal area

Hello everyone!

I'm about to move to Geneva with my bf in one month.

As a qualified 1.5 years of experiance lawyer, I'm looking for job opportunities in the legal area and especially at the WTO.

I don't have a working permit visa.

Also I would love to know and meet new people in Geneva !

you still need a permit to live in Switzerland if you work for the UN or WTO it is called a carte de legitimation.  Once you get a job there, they will take care of the paperwork for you.  However, you have to get the job first.  You should look at the vacancy and internship positions  on the WTO website:

http://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/vacan_e/vacan_e.htm

if you are coming with your boyfriend regardless, I would recommend applying for an internship (WTO internships are post graduate) and see what happens as permanent posts are really rare and there is often intense competition for them.

And you must also have a permit of some sort to live here while you are looking for a job...Wink  If you don't already have one, you might consider enrolling in language classes and apply for a student visa.

Hello, you don't need a work permit to apply to organisations but if you apply to private firms, I believe that your boss will be the one to get you one...
