Hello!
I just got to Geneva and am looking forward to meeting some new people as I know no one here! I plan to attend the "fresh fish" event next week and hopefully something this weekend.
I am also wondering if anyone has any advice on where to go to get a cheap (I know...nothing is cheap here) cell phone. I will only be here for 3 months, so I don't want a contract or anything like that.
I am also hoping to find a used bike to explore the area. I see on another post there is a bike sale on 31 May, so I will check that out.
I hope to explore other areas of Switzerland while I am here, and I plan to do lots of swimming. At the end of July I am swimming in a race across the Bosporus in Turkey, so I want to be in excellent shape!
If anyone else swims regularly, let me know. It would be fun to have a training partner. I may also join the gym that's across the street from me (silhouette--any opinions on this place?) and perhaps I may even be bold enough to join the marathon group for a training (although I do NOT plan to ever run anything close to a marathon!)

For a cheap cell phone, you can buy a M-Budget prepaid in a Migros. A Nokia 2310 with a SIM card and 15 francs credit costs 39 francs. The recharge is cheap too. Else, you can buy second hand phones with one month garantee at Cash Converters shops and just buy the SIM card in Migros.
