I've been a bit transient for the last decade or so, but I'm in it for the long haul this time with the Geneva move, at least the foreseeable future, so I want to get a running start and meet people and find fun things to do right away to help convince me I've made the right choice!
I should add, my move isn't planned until March, but I figured the nice folks on this website may be able to help me with questions I need sorted out before I actually move. At the moment, I can think of two: First, I'm planning on bringing a U.S. spec BMW over. Anyone know a good (and reasonably priced) BMW mechanic who could "eurospec" my car? Anyone know exactly what needs to be done? Second, I'm single and in my early 30's. Any tips on where to live? If not Geneva, I was considering Nyon. Would that be too boring? I'm thinking I can afford between 2000-3000 CHF/month for rent.
Thanks in advance for any tips. Also, hit me up if we share any interests (guitar? basketball? snowboarding? learning Italian?). Or even if we don't share any interests and you're just being friendly, that would be appreciated too!
Anyway, I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Bastian
