New'ish to Geneva - Yoga advice

Hello and Greetings,

I've been in Geneva for 8 months now so not that new and I love it here.

Anyone recommend a good Yoga place, I've done a few courses in London and want to get back into it.

Hi there, it depends what school of teaching you would like.

There is a great Iyengar Yoga teacher named Catrina Ganzoni in Geneva. She teaches at Paquis and just behind the station. Google her and she can send you her schedule.

There is a also a place called InnerCity Yoga on the main shopping street in town.

Hey Jerome,

Welcome to Geneva!

I'm going to Yoga class this Sat morning at 10h at Holmes Place. You can join for free as my guest. Drop me a line if you're game.

And, if you have 2 secs, would you mind posting the key questions you might have about moving to Geneva in this Moving to Geneva thread? We're trying to collect the key questions that new comers have, so that we can then pull together all the answers in 1 simple guide.

Thanks,

Nir, glocals co-founder

Thanks Nir of the offer.

I was away for the weekend.

Think I am going to try the Sivinandar centre, I didnt know they had a school here.  I used to go to the one in Putney so their style suits me!

Hi Tiana,

Is vinyasa yoga the same thing as ashtanga?  I did ashtanga before I arrived in Geneva and have been looking for a good class.

Would anyone know if there are any yoga classes early in the morning - something one can go to to absorb some positive energy before going to work?

hi there, the only one I know so far is 7 to 8 am in Soluna Champel. With the nice weather coming up, maybe someone will organize some at the lake ( Amrita?)

Hi Kitty,

Lakeside open air (and free) yoga classes are definitely in my plans as soon as the weather allows it! I will post an ad on Glocals. Probably already in May during the long week-ends. Namaste,

Amrita
