Hello,

I'm so excited to be coming! Postings keep saying how nice people are in Geneva - I can hardly get over how awesome YOU are!

I will be coming to Geneva as a post graduate intern for WHO from June through September. I'm a PhD student in Environmental/Public Health Epidemiology.

Looking forward to making friends - like a few people I read about here, I don't speak any French so I'm really nervous -- not to mention I'm still looking for housing (I understand "affordable" housing isn't something to consider...)

Any advise and support would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Maverick and welcome in advance to Geneva. Make the best use of Glocals and especially its Member activities section and you'll have a lot of fun!

Language: no problem, Geneva is an international city and tons of people live here without speaking French

Accomodation: much more tricky. Check the market place section as a beginning

See you in September!
