Hi!
I am moving to Geneva with my family in June and am beginning the process of looking for housing.
As I have a young daughter I don't really want to be in temporary accommodation while we look for something more permenant. Is it possible to rent a place before you have your job, just with your contract and a letter from your employer?
Also we have heard that you get more house for your money in France. What areas would you recommend that have public transport options to get into Geneva? Also what websites can you find rental properties in the areas of France close to Geneva? I am currently finding the WRS, homegate.ch and obviously glocals helpful but the rest of the websites are swiss specific.
The other burning issue is childcare, which is obviously difficult to find until we work out exactly where we live. Does anyone know if it is easier to get childcare in Switzerland or France? If it is easier in Switzerland then the other area we were thinking of was the Nyon area.
Does anyone have any advice regarding the advantages of France vs the Nyon area? I am getting very confused as to where the best place to start is!!
Any advice regarding good areas to relocate with a young family and good accommodation websites would be really appreciated!!
Thanks
Grania
