Wine & Whine Mum Friends Wanted

I am brand new to the Geneva life. I am an American, but have lived the last three years in England. I know being an expat parent is really tough. It is hard moving to a new country without family or friends. Those of us who are stay at home parents can struggle to make new friends in a foreign place.

So I am going to be honest. I am looking for mum friends who like to drink wine, watch bad tv, and whine about our kids & spouses. I love my family and our life here. That doesnt mean they dont drive me insane sometimes!! However being here without my family or friends is really hard.

I dont speak french.

I am super sad about the fact that they sell horse meat here.

I love love love a good rosé wine.

I think the swiss money looks like monopoly money.

I love to read science fiction and fantasy.

I own an abusrd amount of pens, but can never find any of them.

I cry wathcing every Pixar movie.

I believe in the power of coffee, I do not make the school run without my thermos.

I could eat nothing but cheese & olives.

I have purple hair most days, sometimes I go pink just to confuse my husband.

I was overly excited by owning a clothes dryer for the first time in 3 years.

I think Back to The Future is a masterpiece that can never be remade.

I miss our dog Watson terribly, and cannot wait for her to join us here.

I cannot explain how much I miss great Mexican food.

I love my son more than anything.

I also like my husband, I love him when he does the dishes.

I am 30, but I constantly keep forgetting that until my 5 year old loudly reminds me.

I miss my family terribly, but am beyond grateful for FaceTime.

I am terrified of spiders.

I think Thomas the Tank cartoons are torture and refuse to allow them in our home.

I also believe stepping on a Lego is a parenting right of passage.

So this is me. If anyone out there is looking for a mum friend, I am available. LOL. Cheers.

Hi! My human is way older than yours... Maybe we can pay her to babysit and hit the pub one day lol

I am new here too from Vancouver Canada. I just arrived about two months ago and I feel you on what we call "squat and bitch" up north haha.

I am learning French but can't speak very well yet... However English is my mother tongue. So... Let's hang!
