Avoid Binn = rip-off

We had a rather nasty experience last Monday whilst on holiday in the Binntal [VS, CH]. Having previously printed out bus tickets on the internet at CHF4.60 each, when boarding the bus, the driver [who stank of smoke BTW] demanded an extra CHF6.00 per person for "Kurtax". We showed him the pre-printed tickets. Nothing we could say or do would persuade him from charging us the extra for a short distance [up to Brunnebuehl = probably less than 5kms] where there was absolutely nothing except an elongated cowshed and mobile milking parlour. Very, very disappointed. We have written to the Gemeinde Binn but guess what? They are on holiday for two weeks. Wonder whether they will deign to reply after their return to work?
