Chile and Melatonin
Hi! I know this is a real long-shot but I thought I'd give it a go.

I'm flying to Chile in a few weeks. My schedule goes:

- Geneva -> Santiago (where I work for 2 days)

- Santiago -> Atacama Desert (where I work nights for a week)

- Atacama Desert -> Santiago (where I work for 2 days)

- Santiago -> Geneva

So including overnight flights, uncomfortable seats, there's going to be some pretty horrible sleep re-adjustments in there. So I was wondering if one can buy anything over-the-counter to help with this. Anybody know? Melatonin would be ideal but it's not licensed (to my knowledge) anywhere in Europe right now and there's no time to order any from the US. Any clues anybody?

Cheers Casuistik,

That looks like it could work for me, actually. A week is a lot better than I thought provided customs don't decide to make a fuss. Also, since the dollar is much crappier than last time I looked at importing this stuff, it's significantly cheaper. (Delivery costs almost exactly the same as the maximum importable quantity of product, but still...)

Hi Verbier,

It's in principle a nice trip: the mountains are fantastic, Santiago is great and I have friends to show me around. The main drawback is the word 'work'. Even that's a lot of fun, but coupled with the inverted day/night routine and sleep derpivation it's tricky to find a bit of the day to enjoy being where you are. Overall, of course it'll be fun; these usually are.

Check your inbox also. And Big Thanks!
