Hi

try this website, there are many cheap and cool hotels:

www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Berlin

never tried in Berlin but in Lisbon, the description was good, we had no bad surprise...

hotels are rated by users so if you read well the reports you can make a good choice

available for single booking

viel Spass in Berlin

We found a good place through lastminute.com Can't remember the name, but there are plenty of reasonable hotels in Berlin

Hi Oded,

Try the Accor Suite Hotel located near Potsdamer Platz. Around EUR85-EUR90/night for 2 persons

http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-3745-suitehotel-berlin-potsdamer-platz/index.shtml

or

Hotel Ibis Berlin Mitte (EUR75-EUR80/night)

http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-0357-ibis-berlin-mitte/index.shtml

You can't really go wrong with Accor Hotels. No charm but no bad surprises either.

I've staid at the Novotel Berlin Mitte 2 summers ago, very nice hotel, with a very good (though a bit pricey) breakfast buffet. Price during the summer was above 120 EUR if I remeber well.

Try http://www.luise-berlin.com/ (a bit on the expensive side, but well worth a visit if you are into contemporary art) or

http://www.hotel-pensionfunk.de/de/movie.html (very reasonable prices! - though not in Berlin Mitte but close to the Ku'damm)

If you are daring try: http://www.propeller-island.com/rooms_neu/room_detail/23/index.php

  1. - St. Christopher´s Inn, Rosa Luxemburg Str. 39-41, 10178 Berlin, fon: 0049 30 81 45 39 60  /  www.st-christophers.co.uk
  2. wombat´s Berlin, The City Hostel - The Place; Alte Schoenhauserstrasse 2, 10119 Berlin, fon: 0049 30 847 10820 / www.wombats-hostels.com

PLEASE ALSO RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING SUPER COSY CAFETERIA, with homemade cakes, sandwiches, Crepes, waffles, good coffee, teas, juices, very good ice-cream... :

Kitti - Steinstrasse 2, Berlin-Mitte, next to HACKESCHE MAERKTE, [email protected]

All these locations are in Berlin MITTE, close to the famous HACKESCHE MAERKTE. This fabulous cafeteria is in a small side street, so rarely discovered by Tourists. Food and drinks are excellent, the owner Kitti and her employees are super-friendly and it is a really nice ambiance, NON-SMOKING. Please try it. :)
