Ireland

Dear Irish folks

In a few weeks I and a couple of friends we are planning to be 2 days in Galway and 1 in Dublin - not too long trip and partly even professional...

What would you reccomend to do and to see like sightseeings, museums, theatres, typical bars or eating places, shops - that's in Galway and in Dublin even less time, one full day only.

Thank you very much in advance for your hints.

The Book of Kells, Trinity College, Dublin is an absolute must.

But you may have to queue a while to get in.

Best, R.

Galway - The town is always very lively and there's lots of things to do.

Drive up the Connemara coastline for instance, visit the Cliffs of Moher (by boat), go see the Burren or take a trip out to the Aaran Islands.

As for eating, there are a wealth of good restairants but I'd reccomend O'Gradys on the pier - everytime I go back I try to eat here, you'll have to book but its right on the coastline and has gorgeous views over Galway bay.

Failing that, have oysters at Morans on the weir, in Clarinbrigde.

In Galway city centre, Kirwans is very nice or Aniar depending on your tastes.

Highly recommend a day trip out to the Aran Islands (Inis Mor) if you enjoy walking and fresh air
