Hi all!
I will be spending 10 days in Calabria (Lamezia Terme / Tropea and surroundings) from 6 to 16 August.
Would anyone have any recommendations as to excursions, places to visit, typical restaurants or bars, special celebrations (it will just fall on Ferragosto) or any other hints / tips about the city / area / region?

Andrei, Tropea is really wonderful...food is excellent, ask for cipolla di Tropea (oignon), seafood en fish...and the sea is magic!
Be careful, cause at Ferragosto it will be very very crowded...have a good time!

I have found a simple hotel in Lamezia and am planning to go to Tropea for a couple of days.
