debasser is a cool kinda punk rocky concert venue close to the palace, worth seeing what gigs they have on if thats your thing.

I went in Feb and it looked beautiful with snow everywhere and frozen water.  However it was cold.  We were lucky and had at least clear blue skys.  Picture post card stuff, now had it been black and blizzards my opinon would not be the same.

So on a perfect winters day its lovely but perhaps more relaible to go on the better weather month

June to August are the best months, more stuff to do. I stayed at the Story hotel in the Trudeplaan area. It's artsy and close to everything. We just strolled everywhere and there are numerous short or long cruises you can take.

Take the boat to the drottningholm slottet (the palace) and try to get a ticket for a concert in the old theatre!

We went a couple of years ago with Swedish friends : on 9 June, the temperature was only 9 degrees, although it warm up slightly thereafter. If you don't like cold, wait until later!

A definite Must-See in Stockholm is the Vasa Museum - the most fascinating museum we have ever visited anywhere in the world. We stayed in a rented B+B apartment - ok, but not quite what we were expecting [no facilities and no "B"] so would not recommend

I've been to Stockholm both in the summer and the winter and if you can... go in the summer! It is cold and dark in the wintertime. A beautiful city though!
