Hello Soraia,
Last year I've volunteered for 3 weeks in a small NGO in Moshi, Tanzania. They need mainly teachers, but any kind of help is welcome. I'm an IT professional and helped them organize their IT systems and made some fundraising videos. They run a kindergarden for poor kids in a rural area of Moshi, are building a secondary school and also have 100+ sponsored kids.
If you're interested, send me a private message and I'll put you in touch with the director (there is one in Switzerland and one in Tanzania).
Their website is http://www.e-watu.com
Moshi is a great place for volunteers, it's quit high altitude so the weather is pleasant. It's near Kilimanjaro and the famous Tanzanian national parks Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, etc. Besides that there's a good mix of social life among expats and locals.
You can finish your trip with some days in the paradisiac island of Zanzibar, that was my "holiday within the holiday".
Volunteering and travelling in Tanzania was a great experience, if you need any advice, just shout.
George

Hi Soraia,
The NGO that I've worked for in Tanzania has just released a short documentary about it work:
http://www.youtube.com/watutanzania
That will give you a good idea of WATU and Moshi.
I hope you enjoy it :)

Hi Soraia,
I'm taking a team of volunteers to Cape Town, South Africa in April, 2012 over Easter week to help build homes with Habitat for Humanity. I've also been to Moshi, Tanzania and can agree it's an incredible place. I don't know WATU personally, but love all things Tanzania.

Feel free to email me with questions.
Cheers,
