Has anyone ever biked from Geneva area to Chamonix? If so, please share your tips, experience and advice. I am wondering if this is a nice route with good views and not too many killer hills.
Thanks!

Where did you get that idea? It's less than 100km.

I wouldn't do it. The last portion is steep and with many bends. Add the car traffic and it's not safe. I never seen anyone bike there. As other suggested, it's probably easier/more fun to do some back roads around Chamonix, but not bike all the way there.

Hi there, g'day all...
Yes, about 90km to get there, but yeah busy road...around lake Geneva 180km is nice...Geneva to Annecy 45km, nice ride and 40km around the lake there, easy nice ride....
I'm always looking for pushbike riders to cycling and have fun on the road together...montain bike with a 1.35 tyres, good to cyclotouring....
All friends, cyclists and not cyclists welcome, no rush, no drama!!

Me and my girlfriend have rode to cham in easter. The roads are fine and the traffic not to bad. Once you get to sallanches follow the cycle route signs to les houches and you will avoid the busy auto route. I think you climb around 500m so nothing to worrie about.
