Sure I have a ball..., There is a public playground near the place where i live -Glattpark - Opfikon.

but somehow I betrayed Bball and play more football nowdays, but as im always up for any sport and if u are so much interested to play, let me know and we can put a time and date for it.

I would LOVE to play on a weekly basis (or 2 times a week).  I just moved here and have been looking for a league to play in and haven't been able to find one.  But now that the weather is getting nicer, it's a great time to play some pick-up outdoors. 

I have a basketball with me and can bring it along (althought it's a women's ball so it's slightly smaller).

This weekend should have great weather for some outdoor sports. Note that the basketball court in Glattpark is quite close to a tramstop which is convienient, there is also a beach volley ball court in that same spot btw.

"Downtown" you can find basketball courts at letten and also at a couple of the schools and close to some of the swimmingpools btw.

I'll likely go for a cycle tour on Sat/Sun though, thus if somebody comes up with some spot for playing a game of basketball I'll just point my bike in that direction.

I found basketball courts near Talacker but I guess they belong to the school there and are not open to the public. Search continues..

AFAIK on non-school days as long as one does not have to climb a fence or otherwise break an entry one is allowed to use public school infrastructure like basketball courts when of course not forcing any of the local kids out, thus they are an option.

But there are lots of options for courts in Zurich, just check http://www.courtsoftheworld.com/courts zoom in to Zurich and take your pick ;)

(There are unfortunately always other people who love to play too though...)

Hey all - sorry for delayed response..... I guess we've missed the stint of good weather. Anyone want to take bets on next sunny days? I'm based out in Oerlikon at the moment where there is a decent court (haven't seen it that busy, yet).

Ha, hopefully the nice weather comes sooner than later.  I'm still up for playing but am out of town the next 2 weekends.  Even if we can get a small amount of people together that'd be great.  And maybe there will be some people at the court who want to play a game of pick up with us.

Good. Sounds that we get several fans here. I did not play for years and just bought a basketball today and played in a court in Oerlikon. i can still see my passion on it.

Do anyone want a 3 vs 3 game for this weekend? Let us see if there is enough people who are interested.

I am a basketball fan, not really a player (in fact if you want to watch games besides playing I have the baskebtall group and we followed the wildcats or GHZ team this season... they did not do very well, but they need support!)...

Anyhow I know people who go play regularly mostly on weekends and the court is next to stop 7 or 15 is called Röslistrasse, from the tram up the street and then opposite the school (there is also an athletic ring).

I will come and watch if you go!

Ok here's an attempt to get this going. How about meeting this saturday @ 15h00? Duygu as the instigator i leave it to you to pick the place, i think as long as its easy to get to from the center of town then should be ok for everyone else. Whoever is definitely in say 'AYE' and if we're more than 4 ppl this can finally take place!

seems the gods are against us, and weather forecast for the weekend is ... SH**! will cancel for saturday and maybe try again next weekend if weather allows. at least looks like we have a minimum of 4 so can at least have a game next week :)
