Its really delicious ..Service is also friendly ,and a very nice terrace which is really romantic , and gives a lot of energy that makes us feel that we are at home .even I am not unhappy with the prices .Its just agreable and affordable .and we are really lucky to have such a nice Authentic restaurant In geneva .never had any complains no problems !! .. NB: this restaurant has changed its address and is now:
rue de Saint-Jean 58
1203 Genève

I know a lot about this cuisine and I think that the chef/owner does as well as could be expected so far away from the required ingredients. The prices are typical for Geneva, but expensive for hawker: laksa is 30F and I've never paid more than half that for a laksa. I couldn't bring myself to do so this time. On the other hand, I adore laksa and I don't know how long I will hold out for.

They do lunch and the prices are cheaper then, I think laksa - for other addicts out there - is 20F.

One reviewer here has said that the serves are too small. I'm thinking that by Geneva standards they probably are. But, then, Geneva standards of how large a serve of food should be are kind of gross by my Australian standards. I am constantly forced to order serves which are twice what I want to pay...but also twice what I want to eat. In most places a bowl of spaghetti costs 25F+ and would feed two, except they don't let you share. Personally, I think that if the owner here did let you share and only wanted to charge a bit extra, that is generous by local standards.

The food itself: satay sauce was very good. Unfortunatey he does not have a charcoal grill and this does detract from the experience. Po Piahs were good. Chicken curry was unfortunately not cooked on the bone as it should be. However, I expect that a lot of chefs these days pander to the demands of customers and that overcooked, lean, tastes like nothing chickenbreast is all the rage. More's the pity.

Will I go back? Absolutely. But I think I will try to make it lunch next time....
