My computer decided to crash yesterday. I called David and he came last night and picked it up. I got it this morning and it works perfectly and much faster as well. I wouldnt go anywhere else for computer problems. He is a great guy as well :)

Zonk recovered a completely destroyed hard drive of mine, found all the missing pictures and files...completely did what I asked him to do....at a fraction of the price other firms offered...so in fairness, in totally satisfied and happy... very much worth it.

I am very unhappy with the service. He repaired the problem my laptop had but at the same he destroyed it. He returned my laptop without the ESC key, the frame of the keyboard unsecured just where the ESC key is missing, no light when the CAPS lock key is on, the screen damaged, the programs installed in my laptop changed and some of them unusuable. When contacted him, he initially tried to blame us then offered to repair it but he never replied giving his availability and showed up to fix all the damages he caused. A danger! Fixes one thing, destroys your laptop!

THE BIGGEST advantage besides the fact David is super skilled it's that when your computer crashes you can't wait until you're getting it fixed, and with David you don't have to wait opening hours of Mac or any other shop, yoiu can just call him any day and evenings too. I mean I called him on a sunday night and got it fixed the same night for a reasonnable price..NO ONE CAN BEAT THAT!


My computer stopped completly working, the whole systeme was blocked, all of the sudden, I receive this malware telling me I have to pay to make my PC work again..I shut it down and turned it up 3 or 4 times and always the same theatening message was appearing on the screen telling to pay or to forget about using my PC.

Each time I turn it up, There was no way to make it work, no button was working,neither my mouse, the escap button was Out of service, I had a PC that was not under my control anymore!!!

I called David at 9:30pm, explained him what it was, he immediatly know what it was, at 9:45pm he was at mine..

He cleaned my PC which was infected by that nasty maleware in many ways...He even put another protecting system larger than the one i've already had!!

I happened to mention to David that my laptop was a bit slow whenever I tried to do internet shopping which was a nuisance but I assumed it was just 'one of those things'. He immediately said he could sort that. Thank goodness I let him take a look.

He met me at the airport, took my laptop in the afternoon and in the evening told me hard drive was essentially dying and he was working hard to retrieve everything. I fretted but I needn't have done. The next day he returned the computer, everything restored, and working better than it had before. Thank goodness he sorted it out before the whole thing had packed up completely.

David has also given me any number of tips and advice. No question is too small or stupid!
Can't praise the guy enough.

After my computer fell and stopped working, I called Apple to find out if I could get it repaired. Apple told me my hardrive was probably erased, and a diagnostic of it would cost me several hundred dollars.

Luckily, a friend of mine gave me Davids contact info, and I called him up. He responded immediately, took my computer to his "lab" and ran a diagnostic program. Turned out, my hardrive was damaged, but not done for. He ran a retrieval program, replaced my hardrive with a new one, and had everything up and running in just a few days.

His final bill was hundreds less than what apple had quoted me for possibly being able to maybe fix it.

He also took time to explain software, hardware, and applications that might be useful for me, and met me wherever and whenever it was convenient for me.

Anyone with computer problems in Geneva should definitely call David!!!!

Last monday I went to Davids *computer problem? I can help!* meeting in a cafe, with my laptop and his not closing anymore cd player. He was very easy going, and even more effective, after checking out the device he solved the problem on the spot, great! Then David took the time to explain me an issue we have at work with the wifi.
Very recommendable, he knows his stuff!

Fantastic!!! I managed to mess up my hard drive and within a day, David had found a way to recover my files, not to mention the fact that when I contacted him, he responded almost immediately and was able to pick up my drive the same day. He even helped me with some random computer questions! So helpful, and super response times - not always what you get when you're looking for IT help.

For the past 15 years I have faced many problems with my different computers in different countries and every time it has not only been a pain fixing it but quite expensive too. With David it was just too easy, too smooth and quite affordable. He gave me a precise estimation on the phone. On the same day he came personally, looked at the problem, took the computer, brought it back in just a day and gave me some really useful tips. He also did some extra work for no charge. He is so generous and patient in sharing his knowledge. I HIGHLY recommend his services.

I had a couple of problems with my mac and sent him a message telling him what they were. I was expecting him to call to help over the phone but instead he phoned a couple of hours later saying he'd be round soon.

When he arrived he sorted out everything in less than 30 minutes! Not only that but gave me some really useful tips,

Really impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and (in my case which he needed) patience! I can't recommend him enough. If you're reading this and do have any PC problems, then don't waste time trying to find alternatives - just contact him!

5 things I like about Zonker:

1- He knows his stuff, more than most

2- He is caring ... you can't believe how much effort he puts into his work to solve your problem, fast and cost effectively

3- His rates are reasonable ... too reasonable ... don't take my word for it. Go try a shop or other tech support.

4- He is easy going and accomodating even when I frustrate him (sorry zonker :-)

5- He comes to YOU (as soon as he can). You don't have to drag your equipment to him. It saves you a lot of time and trouble.

Fair disclosure: I have known him for about 9 months. Precisely becuase I got to know his qualities, I decided to ask for his help ... I don't trust my computer stuff to just anyone. Reason...

... I'm an IT expert myself with more experience than Zonker ... but it was cheaper and faster for me to have David do the work.

What does that tell you about Zonker (the experts' "go to guy")?!

Oh and if he's going thru a very busy phase, just kick him in a strategic place. You'll soon get his attention and you'll not regret witing for him :-)

Absolutely the best IT service I have had in Geneva - or anywhere. I have now had to call on David's services a number of times and each time he has been helpful, professional, and has gone out of his way to accommodate our timetable. He is solution oriented, extremely reasonably priced and friendly. Apart from fixing the computer, David also managed to retrieve precious holiday photos for us from a dodgy memory card. I recommended him to a friend of mine who was also delighted with the results. I have no hesitation in recommending David for your IT needs.

Excellent service and very professional.

My PC crashed for the 10th time in 2 weeks, so I rang Zonki up. He came to my place to do some quick tests, and couldn't identify the issue. So took the PC to his place.

I got a call that evening, the PC was ready.

It never ran so quickly as it's running now, and it's been crash-free for the past few weeks.

And it was nice working with the guy: he's responsive and wants to help, and he even smiles.

Let's hope you never need him, but if you do - he's great.

Normally I don't add to reviews but really feel I need to post this to balance things out. The first time I used Zonker, I would have agreed with the other reviews.

This time it has been awful. He picked up my computer on Sunday two weeks ago and said I would have it back by the Tuesday. He e-amiled later that day saying he could notdiagnose the problem but was still running test. On Tuesday after no word from him, I sent an e-mail which he did not respond to. I made several calls which he did not return. About a week later I sent another e-mail asking him to the return the computer since it was still under warranty. Again no response until several calls and e-mails later when he said his initial e-mail to me on the Tuesday was inadvertently not sent out. He suggested erasing and re-installing windows with back up. My husband asked him how much it would cost. The tag was 450 CHF- way more than we were looking to spend. Several e-mails and phone calls on Friday asking for the computer to be returned so we could take it back to the store on Saturday, no response from David. Two calls and an e-mail later on Saturday, he told us that he was busy until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, even though in the messages I let him know that I wanted to be able to return the computer to the store on Saturday because I can't do it during the week. He finally brought the computer back some time after 5 p.m. on Saturday. He had been unable to fix it and still charged us 100CHF. I was not home when he dropped off so my husband paid. So 2 weeks later I am 100 CHF poorer , a lot more frustrated, and still have a broken computer.

Honestly, the only reason I have given him one star is that the service the first time I dealt with him was excellent. Not sure if he's going through stuff, but really feel that people need to know the good and the bad.

If you have got computer problems David Nitzsche-Bell (zonker on glocals) is great! He is very responsive and helpful, honest and friendly. His prices are extremely reasonable and sensible. However, David is always ready to give free advice and do some extra work for free to make your computer more efficient. He also organizes meetings on glocals Computer Problems? I can help. *FREE* for people to ask computer-related questions (How do I burn files to a CD? What's good software to do ....? I want to buy a new computer; what's good?.....). Great guy, great service, great prices!

Probably the best service I've gotten in Geneva. He came out to my house, picked-up my computer, fixed the problems, and returned it that afternoon just before I left for a week-long vacation. Also, provided a bunch of advice in a clear follow-up email on ways to improve my computer cheaply and easily. Definitely who I will recommend to my friends, and he speaks 4 languages, so you dont need to twist your tongue into French if you dont want to.

This is the best IT service one can find in Geneva. David not only diagnosed and fixed my computer quickly, but also went out of his way to find me a temporary computer while waiting for replacement parts. He is really friendly and empathetic.
