Separate specific events will be posted by myself or any other willing organisers throughout the summer. Likely to be posted on a Tue or Wed when a reliable weather forecast for the weekend is available.
Weather conditions to enjoy the activity: water temperature at least16 C, air minimum 20C on a sunny day and 25C cloudy.
I suggest we meet at St Louis Grenze end of tram 11 early afternoon and cycle to Parc des Eaux Vives in Huningue. Motorised people can obviously drive directly there.
Once there we can rent kayaks for one or hydrospeeds and enjoy 2 hrs of exercise on (and in!) the water for under 20 euro.
The price includes wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and neoprene shoes.
You will need to be a reasonably good swimmer for this experience - or don't fall in to start with!
I just about know what I am doing myself (paddle as hard as you can on rapids) so I am not capable to teach or rescue others. You can pay more and get your own course with qualified instructors, in perfect French, decent German or broken English.
