Brienzer Rothorn Hiking

Brienzer Rothorn, Bern
Hi everyone
Finally I can organize something with more than 24 hours notice :-)
This time I suggest we go up to Brienzer Rothorn, using the oldest steam-driven cog railway.
From the arrival station we walk to the Rothorn summit (2350 m) and make a break there to enjoy the view.
We then follow a nice ridge path down to Wilerhorn and Brünigpass.
Hiking time : approximately 5 hours.
Difficulty : medium, it's mostly downhill. A few places are a little exposed on one side but secured with fences.
More details here : http://touren.mopage.ch/index.php?apsid=482254ae&apid=13193197&&jsr=1
Take good hiking shoes, a pick nick and warm clothes.
Meeting point : Bern, Treffpunkt Bahnhof (main hall in front of the big departure boards) between 08:50 and 09:00.
We take the 09:04 train to Interlaken, then another train to Brienz and finally the cogwheel train to Brienzer Rothorn.
Buy a ticket Bern - Brienz and a ticket Brienz BRB - Brienzer Rothorn (ticket vending machines don't seem to understand when you ask for a Bern - Brienzer Rothorn ticket).
We will return to Bern by train from Brünigpass via Interlaken Ost.
Careful : due to a large number of no shows during my previous hikes, please only subscribe for this activity if you are reasonably sure that you are coming.
As usual my phone number is 079 305 26 82
