Join my husband, Claude Jafflin, and the club Oxygène 74 (website: http://rando-74.assoc.pagespro-orange.fr/) for a hike to Quatre Têtes, near Sallanches, on Sunday, July 15.

The hike leaves from Plan Chevalier (816m), near Sallanches. We will hike up through the woods for about an hour and half by way of Outredière to Chalet de Doran (1495m). Then, we will continue on to Quatre Têtes (2364m) on a steeper path for another couple of hours. Beautiful views on all sides, right next to the Pointe Percée. Descent by way of the Chalet de Mayères (1563m) to make a long loop. The descent will take about 3 hours.

The hike isn't technically difficult but is long, so it is only for experienced hikers.

Ascent: about 3 and a half hours
Descent: about 3 hours
Altitude gain: 1550m

Be sure to bring: lunch and water, good boots, warm and water-proof clothes, a hat, sunblock and sunglasses, and € to cover any expenses.

Rendez-vous at Gaillard (near the Moillesulaz tram stop) at 7:30am.

Non-members: €5 participation fee
Carpooling: €0.10/km directly to drivers
