Fairly demanding hike from Belalp near Brig/Naters, with a big descent to the village of Mund. Hiking time about 4 to 5 hours, plus stops. Distance about 13km, with 200m height gain and 1100m height loss. Views of the Valais alps to the south.
Please note the early start, as Naters is about 150 km from Lausanne and over 200 km from Geneva.
Please note this is for fit, experienced walkers, who are able to sustain a good pace to keep to planned times, as we are catching a bus at the end. It's a group activity so we walk as a group. Sorry but it’s unsuitable for kids, dogs or people who suffer from vertigo.
As with my other hikes this year, I have not done this route before.
Please bring suitable hiking gear, a picnic and something to drink.
