Medium length hike of about 15 km using two lower-level bisses in the Varen area. Nice views of the Rhone valley and mountains.
Hiking time about 4 hours, plus stops.
Height gain about 300m, height loss 500m.
Limited group size as we have to take public transport.
Please note this is for fit walkers who are able to sustain a reasonable pace all day, so we can keep to planned timings. It's a group activity so we walk as a group, not individuals. Sorry but it’s unsuitable for kids or dogs.
As with most of my hikes this year I have not done this one before.
Please bring suitable hiking gear and a picnic.
We leave early and get back to Lausanne in the early evening. I will confirm the travel details later to the people signed up, so send me a message in good time if you wish to join us.
