Please note that the weather in Leysin is slightly better, and is meant to be better this afternoon. But have not managed to bribe the weather man. So things might change.

Hike to Tour de Mayen and/or Via Ferrata Plan de Praz (Leysin).


The idea is to hike first from Leysin (1380) to Refuge de Mayen La Riondaz (1850) and then (if you are fit enough and weather lets us) to Tour de Mayen (2326).
From there we will go down to Leysin and possibly (if you have equipment, you are fit enough and weather lets us) approach the VF

Please bring: hiking shoes, plenty of water, food. Please bring your VF equipment or rent it before the RDV if you would like to do the via ferrata (optional).

In this short ferrata we have a monkey bridge, footbridges, ladders... and plenty of opportunities to burn energy and stress. It is a difficult ferrata, but there are many exit ways so if you¥ve never done a ferrata before, but you are fit, you should try.

PLEASE MIND THE ENVIRONMENT. There is no need to drive on your own. Take the trains above or contact others to carpool. It's part of the social experience :)

- your experience hiking and doing Via Ferrate or climbing. This is very important as there is a maximum of 4 beginners
