What is Capoeira? It is is an amazing Brazilian Martial Art form that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences beginning in the 16th century.
Through Capoeira people develop a great sense of coordination, self-esteem, flexibility, balance, discipline and respect for themselves and others. Capoeira is an incredible way to improve strength, especially core strength and the upper body. The exchange of energy between each player as they coordinate their Ginga is something both spiritual and psychological that you do not find in any other art form.
We are so fortunate to have Professor Cezar from The Association Biribas Capoeira Center d'Arts Martiaux De Renens and his incredible colleague's! Please join us as they demonstrate, help us learn and experience more about this beautiful art form.
