I propose to go to the desalpe festival in Gryon where we will see about a hundred cows descending from the high pastures of Taveyanne and Chaux. Then, to commemorate this joyous celebration, we will do a hike to Taveyanne village, from where we will do our own re-enactment of the desalpe. We will follow the footsteps of the cows (or the poop trail) all the way down to Gryon.

From 09:30 - 10:30
We take a look at the festivities, which include folkloric dances and several stands from where they will probably try to sell us food and other stuff.

From 10:30 - 12:00
The two cow groups will pass by the place Barboleuse, close to Gryon Parc. These are the stars of the event, so don't forget to bring your cameras!

From 12:00 - 18:30
Once the cows have finished their parade through town, we will start our hike towards Taveyanne village.

**Note: For those of you who insist on not doing the hike / re-enactment, but just want to see the cow parade, there will be a cow contest for your enjoyment at 14:30

- Hat and sunscreen (if the sun decides to join us this time)
