Fairly long (17+km) hike from St George at the foot of the Jura, via the Signal de Bougy and down to Allaman. Descent of about 600m, 100m ascent.
We’ll start by visiting the Moulin de St George heritage site, which is an old water-powered sawmill (guided visit, cost 5 CHF per adult).
Great views over lake and mountains as we descend. We walk through farmland, woods and finally vineyards.
Please note this is a group activity so we walk as a group! It’s for reasonably fit hikers who can keep up a decent pace all day. No dogs please.
Total time: about 4 to 5 hours of walking, plus stops and the visit, so 6+ hours. We finish early evening.
Bring suitable hiking footwear and a picnic (there is no food available until the Signal).
