A day of skiing in Davos!!!
Saturday, March 5th, 2016 @ 07:00
Davos or Alt.St Johan or Flumsberg, eventually Arosa or Wengen, nay other proposals?, Zurich
Snow conditions in Davos perfect, maybe even we catch a bit of sun before 11a.m.
Train IC 7:07 from HB in direction: Chur, ticket through Landquart to Klosters Platz (at 8:59). Skipass forthe whole region: 71CHF
I'll be in red jacket and black ski-trousers, 5-10min before train departure on the platform.
Feel free to join.
Sorry for the late time, I was looking for the best option.
==============================
Event will take place despite the weather s not perfect, but I'm rescheduling to SATURDAY to not conflict with another events "A day on the slopes - with a twist!" on meetup.com.
Timelies: 7 - 18 including transport.
Tomorrow about 7p.m. I'll provide details, based on the latest forecast and snow conditions. Potential directions: Flumsberg, Davos, Laax
===================================
I'm comming over to Zurich in March and want to spend as much weekend days as possible visiting best ski resorts. Let's start immediately: the first weekend in March.
*** Next events like this: 12-13 Mar, Zermatt, Wengen or Adelboden ***
My plan for the day is to ski as much as possible, with 2-3 breaks for pizza or coffe, but I expect that people joining are fit and skilled enough to ski 4-6 hours. No pressure, we go there just for fun, we'll wait a couple of minutes if someone is a bit slower, but I expect that people joining me feel comfortable in new areas, able to take care of themselves in case of losing each other and are not getting scared of a black piste.
Snowboarders are welcomed!
I propose Davos because it's one of the best in CH and time to get is acceptable for me (1:50 from ZH), but I'm opened for any suggestions. The closest one are Flumsberg (1h) and Alt St Johan (1h15), but another good ones are Arosa and Wengen.
You are welcome to register and put comments, I'll provide details (place and meeting hours) a week before and event.
Event will take place regardless the number of participants and even if the weather is not perfect :), but choice of ski-resort depends on the weather forecast.
