Because of the bad weather of Sunday we changed the date of our hike. We will go tomorrow (Saturday) instead of Sunday. We lost some participants. So we have 3 available space. You are welcome.
On Saturday, August 23, I am organising a circular hike to the Château and the Dent d'Oche.
Compared to the usual way (from Bernex) this relatively unfrequented route, offers several advantages. It is more beautiful and varied and sometimes trough the wild or isolated place. By this hike we cross, not only a summit, but a region.
We start from the Planche Parking 1210 m (Novel hamlet on the St-Gingolph heights). We walk on the Swiss-French border line and via Chalet Neuteu arrive at Col de Pavis. We will climb then the Château d'Oche via east face and crossing the edges to arrive at the summit 2197 m.
We go down from the summit to Col de Planchamp and go up the Dent d'Oche 2222m via its south-eastern face equipped with cables.
The two summits and several points on the course offer a very nice views over the Geneva Lake whole region. ....
Picnic at the top, we descend via west face (cables) to the Col de Rebllion 1926 m and walk on a balkony at the north face of the summit. Through the Roc de Rianda and the "Neuva 's we arrive at car park.
Cumulative elevation changes : 1420 m. Distance 13 km. Maximum 12 experienced and sporty people.

We meet at Gaillard, behind the customs of Moellesullaz, in front of the Librairie de France at 7:30. Inscription is obligatory.
Equipment: Good shoes, hat, gloves, warm and waterproof clothes, sticks, picnic, drink. All participants must be well-prepared and have all equipment with them.

and deliver it to the organizer on Sunday morning.

There is a participation fee of 5 Euro for a daily license of the French hiking federation FFRP.
Passengers in the vehicle pay directly to the driver € 0.10 per km.
