Avalanche Safety Courses?

Can anybody recommend the best organization to do avalanche safety training/courses with? I have seen a page for the "Avalanche Academy" in Chamonix.  Anybody have experience with them or recommend something different?

Thanks for your help!

The best courses are with the Swiss Alpine Club. The Carouge section has a series of courses at the start of every winter to develop the skills and then you can join the weekend ski tour trips led & organised by the club to develop skills & knowledge. They also have English speaking trainers available for the courses but make sure you ask for this.

There is a small course fee and you have to join the club but membership only costs 130 CHF for the year and you get access to a club with 900 members that organises 200+ skitouring, hiking & climbing trips a year. Its a no brainer if you want to become a skilled & knowlegeable mountaineer.
