Cabane de Moiry

Moiry barrage, Bern
We walk above the beautifully azure Lac de Châteaupré, on a moraine, up zigzags (with one cable) to the Cabane de Moiry (2826) with a spectacular view of the Glacier de Moiry and impressively glacier-clad peaks.

This is an International Ski Club of Geneva (SCIG) outing.

I need to know:
• Your first and last name
• An email address
• Your mobile phone number
• If I don’t know you, are you able to walk for 3 hours over rocky terrain with 600 m of gain? Evidence of your recent mountain experience?
• Are you a SCIG Member?
• Will you eat at the cabane or bring a picnic?
To Bring: good boots, hat, water, warm layer, rain gear, sunscreen, sunglasses, collapsible hiking poles (optional), snacks. We will have lunch at the Cabane de Moiry (027 783 1438).

Maximum altitude: 2826 m
Elevation gain & loss: ±560m
Walking time: About 4 hours
Transport: trains & buses.
Tickets to be bought individually: Geneva to Moiry Glacier round trip.
Confirmation or cancellation of the hike: If the weather is bad, we will cancel. About midday the day before the hike, Bill will send an email to those who signed up to confirm or cancel.
The hike leader is not a professional guide.
By registering, you agree that you are fit for this level of hike and that you carry insurance against accidents and mountain rescue.
The hike leader and SCIG disclaim any and all liability for accidents related to this hike.
