The English-French exchange at Café "Le Nyamuk"

The English-French exchange at Café
Saturday, December 15th, 2018 @ 16:30
52, rue des Bains (near pl. Cirque), Geneva

This is an event of our Geneva French English Language Exchange Group : https://www.glocals.com/groups/geneva/geneva-french-english-language-exchange-group.htm

Venue for the exchange: Café-Restaurant le Nyamuk, 52, rue des Bains, 1205 Genève. Please as a courtesy, thank you for ordering a drink during the exchange.

The idea of the French/English Language Exchange is for French and English speakers to help each other in learning and practicing the language of the other.

Our meetings usually last up to 19H00, but people may stay even longer, have a snack, share a meal, start a debate…

REGARDING GROUP COMPOSITION
If possible, we should have at least one English and one French mother tongue in each group.

Other languages mother tongue, you choose a group with one French and one English in it. Remember to share time speaking both languages.

Keep mobile, adaptative, and reinitiate a new group if it goes too large or combine groups if they go to small.

_________________________
TIPS :

1) Switch language every 10-20 minutes
2) Be fair in sharing your time of speaking, in particular, if you're pretty good (or you're getting tipsy…).
3) Tell your partner what you need, ask her/him to help you, and reversely, ask her/him how you can help her/him.
4) Alternate a demanding practice with some cool/fun conversation.
5) Find the best way to correct each other (language only, please :), write down the mistakes you notice while your partner is talking, and tell them to her/him afterward. Ask for being corrected.

IF YOU COME LATE

Join smoothly, ask the organizer for an appropriate subgroup and feel free to offer a round of drinks :)
