A classic hike in the Chamonix valley along the Glacier des Bossons. Follow in the footsteps of Jacques Balmat and Michel Paccard when they made the first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786. The path leads to “La Jonction” where the Glacier des Bossons and the Glacier du Taconnaz separate and offers spectacular views. Unlike those brave men we will stop here for lunch and go back the same way.

There are no technical difficulties on this hike but the elevation gain is considerable (~1600m). The hike will take the full day (~8h).
