Tour of Haute Pointe, with snowshoes (1757m)

This hike has a gradient of about 800 metres and a length of about 8 km. At 40 km to Geneva.
Chalets of Mary and Cordon Pass. Combe des Charmettes. Nice view of Mégevette. Col de Chavannais (1815m). Go down on the other side and climb to the Chavan pass. Climb the tip. The uncrowded route in the Russian mountains allows you to observe several valleys.
It is intended for persons with some a little experience in mountain hiking. Good mountain hiking shoes are obligatory.

If you do not have your own snowshoes, you can rent them in advance (for a list of rental places see http://www.sindy.ch/snowshoes.doc - in addition, there is Cactus Sports in Carouge).
You will need: suitable shoes, poles and gaiters, warm clothes, sun cream and sunglasses, your passport and some Euros, drinks and picnic.
Price 5 Euros including insurance. Transport: passenger pays 8 Euros to the driver.

Meeting point at 08:00 in front of the tea room "Aunt Jeanne", place Porte-de-France. Moellesulaz side France, and be back in Geneva around 18:00.
