This stroll will take us along the Rhône river. As it will be rather warm, I chose a trail that is mostly in the shade.

We will meet at Jonction tram-bus stop in the centre of Geneva (tram 14, buses 19 and D) - direction leading away from the centre of Geneva. For connections see http://www.tpg.ch/. We will leave at 12h00 - please be in time.

We will follow the trail along the left side of the Rhône, cross the river at the pedestrian bridge at Le Lignon and continue until the village of Vernier from where we take a bus back into town. The walk is about 10 km, with some uphills and downhills.

Take food and drinks along for a picnic - plus something to sit upon. We will take it easy and walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Expect to be back in town around 16h00-16h30.
