For Sunday January 19, 2020, I planned to organize a snowshoe hike to Pointe du Midi 2364 m. This summit of the Bargy chain, not very frequented, binds the Montarquis, through the Combe Sauvage to Balafrasse and Pointe Blanche… ..
We start from Chalet de Sallaz on the Col de la Colombière road (Reposoir) and up to Balafrasse direction. At Lac de Peyre, we will climb the steep slope towards the Combe Sauvage. From the pass we reach the summit.
Down by same way.
Elevation gain about 1080 m. length about 8 km. For experimented and sporty hikers.The last slope before the pass is very steep and the top part is rocky.

Equipment: Good mountain shoes, snowshoes, warm and waterproof clothes, stick, hat, gloves, gaiters, drink, pique-nique ….
Formalities: The newcomers are asked to fill out the registration form

and deliver it to the organizer on Sunday morning.
We meet at Veyrier Douane, final stop of bus n° 8, at 7:30. Inscription is obligatory.

There is a participation fee of 5 Euro for a daily license of the French hiking federation FFRP.
Passengers in the vehicle pay directly to the driver € 0.10 per km.
