Stroll 142: from Veyrier to Carouge - rdv 11h15
Sunday, September 20th, 2020 @ 11:00
, Geneva
Hello walkers,
The weather forecast for Sunday is reasonable - clouded but dry - so let us go for a walk.
We will meet at 11h15 at Rive to take bus 8 direction Veyrier-Douane which leaves at 11h24 from corner Rue d'Italie-rue de Rive). You can also take the same bus 8 from Cornavin leaving 11h17, check www.tpg.ch for your best connection). The bus arrives at Veyrier-Douane at 11h45 where you can also join us. Remember that you should wear a mask in the bus and follow other measures against Covid.
We take some country roads to reach some small lakes. We then follow the Arve river through Vessy and Bout-du-Monde (End of the World!) in order to arrive in Carouge.
We will have a little picnic on the way - take food and drinks along - plus something to sit upon.
Distance: about 9 to 10 km., with a few small uphills - regular walking or running shoes are fine.
We will walk for about 15 minutes in France, so formally you should have your ID or passport on you.
We will take it easy and walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Expect to be back in town by 15h00-15h30.
Maximum 30 participants - please register only if you are sure to attend!
cheers,
Bert
