It is autumn, and the weather forecast is reasonable: dry but fresh (about 10 degrees). Let's make a walk through the vineyards and open areas in the south-western part of the Canton.

We will meet at Cornavin railway station, platform 5, at 09h40 and take the RER train which leaves at 09h48 (your monthly pass or regular bus ticket is also valid in this train). We get off at La Plaine at 10h07 and make our way up to the wineyards above Dardagny. We will make our way back to La Plaine to take the RER train to Geneva, arriving around 14h30.

The walk is about 10 km, with some uphills over good roads. Though it is not difficult, slippers or high heels are not recommended.

Take food and drinks along for a picnic, plus something to sit upon. We will take it easy and walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
