On Sunday first May, if the weather is ok, I organize à snowshoe hike to La Croix d’Almet 2223 m.
Situated between the Bargy and Aravis Chain, this summit offers a spectacular 360° view….
We start from La Sallaz 1344 m (Reposoir, Route de Col de la Colombière). Via l’Auferrand area up to Combe des Fours and by the west ridge arrive at the summit 2223 m.
Done same way until 1774 m and up to Pointe d’Auferrand 1991 m. Descent to Chalet de Auferrand and Col de la Colombière. From there take the path below the road to return to the car park.

Gradient gain 1156 m. Length 14 km. For experimented and sporty hikers.

Equipment: Good Mountain shoes, snowshoes, stick, gaiters, warm and waterproof clothes, gloves, hat, drink picnic.... All must be prepared the day before.
Formalities: The newcomers are asked to fill out the registration form

and deliver it to the organizer on Sunday morning.
We meet at Final stop of bus n° 8 at Veyrier Douane (Geneva) at 7h30. Inscription is obligatory.
The hike is organised by the small hiking association Oxygene 74www.randonneeoxygene74.com There is a participation fee of 5 Euro for a daily license of the French hiking federation FFRP.
Passengers in the vehicle pay directly to the driver € 0.10 per km.
