Cantonal Walking Day in the "Far West"

On Saturday 7 May, the Canton of Geneva will organise a walk event in the communes of Chancy, Avusy and Avully. The route will go along eleven stands with interesting information about various subjects such as archeology, shepherd dogs, wine tasting, renewable energy and a rare species of cows.

We will meet at Bel Air in the centre of town, at the stop of tram 14 in direction of Bernex Vailly. We will meet at 10h00 and take tram 14 leaving at 10h11, arriving at Bernex Vailly at 10h34. Of course you can also take this tram from another stop, for the schedule see https://www.tpg.ch. There will be shuttle buses taking us to the start of the walk in Chancy.
The itinerary is 12.6 km long, the total gradient is just over 300 metres. The total walking time (without the stops) is estimated at 3 hours 20 minutes.
Take some food and drinks along.
We will take our time to visit the various attractions, expect to be back in town around 17h00.
