Can anyone recommend good nordic / cross country skiing places near to Geneva? I live near Versoix / Ferney area.

Here is a map of some of the places just up in the Swiss Jura.

La Givrine is easy to get to by public transport, but Marchairuz is one of my favourite places - but you need to drive.
La Vattay is also a popular spot on the French side. If you do a search in the forums, you will find a few threads on cross country skiing near Geneva.

Same view as Zimmo just do web searches for the Jura region and heres a link for La Vattay http://www.monts-jura.com/dossiers/dossier_48_la%2BVattay.html- was there today, PERFECT weather. You need a car to get to all places except la Givrine which is an hour train ride from Geneva. For you living in Fernex the easiest place is up la Faucile (can ski at la Faucile as well) or you can drive another 6k to La Vattay - which is I'd say the closest to where you are and most diverse. You might see that there is a Glocals Cross Country Skiing Group for your futher interest.
