I am looking to exchange some US Dollars for Swiss Francs/and or Euros for short term spending.
If someone wants to make the switch with me I'd be willing to do this or if there is anyone with experience in a location that doesn't rip you off on the rates and fees that would be great!
Looking to exchange about 300USD and maybe 500 more after new years.

Hi Stephen and welcome to Geneva :-)
I usualy buy Swiss Francs at the 'Migros Change' shop in Rive.
Im not sure if they give the best rates / value for money, but they are well known and you don't need to worry about getting ripped off.
In any case, Geneva is pretty expensive, so $300 won't go very far... :-)
Good luck, and enjoy the city
Oded

Thanks Oded,
I realize that $300 is not that much really but it is just for the first 2 nights.
I am very frugal overall but have limited funds as well until after Jan :)

Just to followup here, American Express in the airport is good and only a 5 franc commission. Migros will also do money exchange at good rates.
