Teaching Chinese cuisine in exchange of Western receipe or French

Dear all,

My name is Zhe, and I'm from Beijing, China. I like cooking a lot and always cook some nice Chinese dishes. Now I am very interested in Western cuisine (French, Italian...) and would like to learn Western recipes from someone. As a return I can teach you how to cook orignal Chinese stuff.

If you are only interested in eating Chinese food, one hour French lesson can also do the trickLaughing

Please let me know if you are interested.

Best,

Zhe

Hi Zhe,

Thank you, this is a great exchange things idea.

I would be very pleased to learn how to cook some chinese dishes (for example dim sum?).

I can either teach you some western recipes or French, it's up to you!

Let me know!

Julie

Hi,

I find your idea very interesting too. I love Asian food. I could teach some Italian, Spanish and French recipes. I also lived for a little while in Morocco and learnt how to do couscous and tajines.

If anyone out there knows how to cook Indian recipes, I would love to learn that as well :-)

Cheers Tongue out

Hi Izzie,

Great that you also like the idea. I have been in Morocco (Casa) several times, loved couscous & Tajines and local specialties. I am good at Chinese style and some other EU dishes, but open for learning and tasting specialties from other culture….

Kindly let me know your ideas and preference of how to realize this “gourmet project”.

Cheers

PS: For those who would like to join, please post here or send me a message so that I could coordinate…

We should build the group to exchange and share our recipes, I'm from Hong Kong, I know most of Canton Chinese dishes, also I learned some Africa dishes (Sengalese dishes, because I lived there for a year), Indian dishes(Chicken Briyani, different type of curry, Nann, Potato Paranta etc), and some western dessert (egg yolk butter cookie, yogurt cake, fondant au chocolat, many tarts and pies etc)

Happy to share my recipes and happy to hang out with those people who like coooking.

I was once part of a cooking group which met regularly & each time a different member prepared the menu & gave recipes to the others & we enjoyed sharing a meal together.

Best Wishes,

Julie
