Any night options to get to Geneva's Airport?

Hey guys

I need to be at the airport around 4:30 - 5 am to catch my plane to Rome. I know the tram and buses don't work around that time but are there any other nontaxi options to get to the airport around that time?

Thanks!

It helps if you advise what time.  There used to be a subsidised taxi service outside Unireso times. If you are meeting or droppiing someone off the cheapest is to hire a mobility car about 15-20 francs if you organise yourself well

The RE2700 arrives at Geneve Aerporte at 0450am. This is a result of my search on tpg.ch for tomorrow am...

More details could help, i.e. where are you going from/to? and time...

Hi,

There is no point getting there that early. I did it once and it ended up being a waste of time. At that hour there is no people and no queues, even if your flight is early I think you can make it by bus (well, assuming you don't live too far).

Good luck

there's also bus #10 getting to airport at 5am.

but Leo is right. I had already some flights at 6:00-6:20, and getting there 30-40min before was perfectly OK (and i was dispatching bags).

There are now very early trains..

Most people would call it a poor option, it depends how adventourous you are. It is (not legally) possible to bivouac in some woods 3 minutes from departures! From the No10 bus stop, cross the motorway by the nearest footbridge, then take a Right down a path. After 40m find a small woodland trail and behind this a football pitch and wooden shelter.

enjoy!

Thanks for all the responses guys! I ended up taking the RE2700 at 4:50. After doing it, I have to agree with what was said about arriving that early and I basically waited little to nothing to go through security.

Thanks again for the responses!

Hi people,

An old thread but my post might be useful to whoever reads in the future:

A few years ago I missed a very early plane from GVA because the queue for the passport control was monstrous (and of course easyjet doesn't care about the conditions in the airport and they close the doors a quarter before departure even if you're checked in and there is no shuttle involved).

Don't feel easy arriving there 30-40' earlier as advised above. Just saying.
